UK-listed IG Group has officially launched cryptocurrency trading services for retail investors, broadening its digital assets offerings
This new platform allows users to buy, sell, and hold 31 different cryptocurrencies, including bitcoin (BTC), Ether (ETH), XRP, and popular altcoins like Bonk (BONK).
The move signifies a shift from IG’s previous crypto exposure through CFDs to direct spot trading, providing clients with more ownership and flexibility.
IG’s partnership with Uphold, a regulated US-based crypto firm, ensures secure transactions and integrated pricing data within the platform.
